Imoc Volley
“Match of the week“ was finished after amazing five sets with victory of Conegliano although Liu Jo were very close to win. Liu Jo Nordmeccanica MODENA led 2-1 in sets when Imoco Volley took the play in their hands and defeated them 3-2 (26-24, 19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 18-16).
Top scorer of the match was the Serbian opposite Brakocevic who this time scored 35 points – new record in one game in CL 2017.
In this very interesting game we saw plenty good actions and for sure this match was one of the best in this round.
Modena stayed on the first place of Pool A although they have suffered the first defeat in this year’s Champions League while Imoco is on the second place with the same score as Chemik Police. This victory is important for Imoco who will be the organizer of the F4 in Treviso.
Top scorers: De Kruijf 21, Ortolani 14, Robinson 14, Folie 11, Fawcett 10; Brakocevic 35, Ozsoy, Belien 14, Heyrman 13.
German champions DRESDNER SC celebrated first win in Pool D. They outplayed Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-19). The Russian team came to Dresden without six important players.
