ITA W: Ana Starcevic in Chieri

The Croatian player Ana Starcevic is the new player of La Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76.

 

After the club found the agreement for the termination of the contract with Odina Aliyeva they announce new signing with Ana Starcevic.

Born in Vinkovci in Croatia on March 24, 1986, Ana Starcevic played three seasons in Turkey in Besiktas, Canakkale and Halkbank Ankara, she won the championship in Slovenia with Ljubljana and Croatian championship with HOK Rijeka, as member of NOVA KBM Branik Maribor she won Slovenian Cup and MEVZA league.

Last season Ana played in the women's Serie A wearing the shirt of VBC Pomì Casalmaggiore.

Because the VNL consists of teams that have been invited by the FIVB, rather than have truly qualified for it based on competitive criteria. These teams (e.g. Belgium & Slovenia with the men) would unjustifiedly lose a lot of points on the ranking because they didn't pay the FIVB enough to participate. on the other hand weak teams like South Korea would see their ranking go up just purely by participating.

In its current format the VNL is nothing but a worthless demonstration tournament of friendly games... :-(
