Javier Weber has officially left the post of the head coach of the Argentine men’s volleyball giants Bolívar Voley.

With the end of the 2019/20 season in Argentina, unfinished due to coronavirus pandemic, it’s time for Weber to say goodbye to Bolívar after 14 successive years. The legendary expert will continue his career in Brazil - he will be the new head coach of EMS Taubaté Funvic by which the rumor has been confirmed.

Under the command of Weber, the team from San Carlos de Bolívar conquered these major competitions: national league 6 times, South American Club Championship and Copa Libertadores 1 time each, national Cup 5 times, Master Cup 2 times, and national Super Cup 1 time. Bolívar achieved the unique Argentine record with Weber at their helm: being undefeated champions in the 2006/07 season and making the winning streak to 57 games.

In Taubaté, he will replace Renan Dal Zotto who will most likely become the Director of the club, in addition to coaching the Brazil Men’s National Team.

ITA M: Trentino secure signature of 3-time consecutive SuperLega top scorer Abdel-Aziz!

One of the best opposite hitters in the world right now. Trentino will have a hell of the power when it comes to finish the ball but will definetely struggle to receive it. Both Lucarelli and Kooy are easy targets to aim and were usually hidden behind a libero. Still seems like there will be top 3 clubs in Italy next season: Lube, Perugia, Trentino. Modena will be weaker for sure and will struggle to be in the top 6 and Piacenza may make a surprise. Reply

ITA M: Trentino sign newly proclaimed Italy National Team member Kooy

Dick Kooy is a really solid player who has been very consistent in his pro career. Gaining him and Rossini are very very good Italian additions. That being said the loss of Grebennikov, Russell and Kovacevic will be significant.
Ultimately I will cheer for a healthy uninterrupted A1 season....fans or no fans....We need to play volleyball!!! Reply
