Priscila Daroit “Pri Daroit” will play for Minas for the third time in her career.

The 32-year-old Brazil National Team outside hitter defended the colors of the Belo Horizonte team the first time between 2007 and 2010. Then, Pri Daroit returned for the 2017/18 season, when she became the South American club champion with the team from the Minas Gerais state. Last season, the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix winner with Brazil played for the Minas’ title rivals Dentil/Praia Clube.

In addition to Pri Daroit, Minas have already announced the stay of the Italian head coach Nicola Negro, setter Macrís Carneiro, middle blocker Caroline Gattaz “Carol”, libero Léia Nicolosi, and the outside hitter Kasiely Clemente, while they promoted two teenagers from the youth team to the senior squad – the outside hitter Luiza Vicente and middle blocker Júlia Kudiess. However, the biggest job in the transfer market of Minas is retaining the two-time Olympic champion and Thaisa Daher.

Apart from renewals, Minas earlier signed middle blocker Lara Nobre (Sesc RJ Flamengo) and setter Priscila Heldes “Pri Heldes” (Osasco/Audax). The club stressed they will announce the names of other players that will compose the roster for the 2020/21 season in the coming days.
