Slovenian national team setter Gregor Ropret is set for a significant club change after the ongoing season. Following a two-year stint with Perugia, Ropret will make a move to Poland, signing with Asseco Resovia in Rzeszow. During his time with Perugia starting in the summer of 2022, Ropret experienced limited time on the court. This was primarily because he was competing for playing time with Simone Giannelli. Giannelli’s position as the first setter limited Ropret’s opportunities to play.
In a contrasting scenario at Asseco Resovia, Ropret is expected to assume the role of the primary setter, filling the spot of Polish setter Fabian Drzyzga, who is departing the team post-season.
