Davide Mazzanti has been appointed head coach of Türk Hava Yolları SK!

Mazzanti has signed an 18-month contract with the club, which is aiming to improve its standing in the Turkish Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, where it currently occupies 8th place. The club had been searching for a new coach since parting ways with Saim Pakkan in mid-November.
The 48-year-old has coached several top Italian clubs and won multiple domestic titles. He also led Italy’s women’s national team to the 2021 European Championship and the 2022 Volleyball Nations League before leaving the post in 2023.
Mazzanti’s appointment increases the number of Italian head coaches in the Sultanlar Ligi to five, joining compatriots at VakıfBank, Fenerbahçe Medicana, Galatasaray Daikin and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit.
