Italy captain Anna Danesi has signed a contract extension with Vero Volley that will keep the middle blocker in Milan through the 2026/27 season, the club announced.

Danesi first joined Milano in 2019 and helped it win the 2020/21 CEV Cup and reach its first Italian league final the following year. After a brief stint with Novara, she returned to Vero Volley in 2024.
This season, the 28-year-old has scored 223 points, including 77 blocks, across domestic league and Champions League play. Milano also finished third at both the Club World Championship and the CEV Champions League.
“I’m very happy to continue with Milan,” Danesi said in a club statement, adding that she believes in the team’s long-term project.
Danesi captained Italy to gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics and the 2025 world championship.
