Paola Egonu will continue with Numia Vero Volley Milano through the 2026/27 campaign, extending her stay with the Italian side to four consecutive seasons.
The Italian opposite, who also serves as team captain, played a central role in Milano’s 2025/26 season, helping the club capture the 2025 Fineco Super Cup – the first domestic title in the women’s team’s history. She also surpassed 1,000 points scored across league and Champions League competition during the year.
“I’m very happy to continue this journey with Numia Vero Volley Milano,” Egonu said. “We want to compete for important objectives next season, and I’m looking forward to getting back on court with the team.”
Since arriving in Milan in 2023, Egonu has remained one of the standout players in world volleyball. The 27-year-old previously played for Club Italia, Novara, Conegliano and VakifBank Istanbul, winning multiple league and international titles.
With Italy women’s national volleyball team, Egonu has claimed Olympic, World Championship, European Championship and Volleyball Nations League gold medals, while also earning several MVP honors throughout her career.
