Henno, 21, joins Perugia after splitting last season between Poland’s Cuprum Stilon Gorzów and Paris Volley. Before moving abroad, he began his professional career with Chaumont VB 52 after progressing through the youth academy at Nantes Rezé Métropole.

The move gives one of France’s most highly regarded young players the opportunity to compete in the SuperLega, widely considered one of the strongest leagues in the world.

“It’s my first time playing in this league, and I’m happy that Perugia has placed trust in me,” Henno said following the announcement.

Perugia are expected to challenge for titles in Italy, Europe and the Club World Championship next season, and Henno said he is eager to contribute.

“This is a club with high ambitions. I want to help the team win as much as possible,” he said.

Henno arrives with an impressive youth international résumé. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 FIVB U19 World Championship after leading France to the title, before helping the national team capture the 2024 U22 European Championship. As captain of France’s U20 squad, he also guided his country to another continental title in the same year.

In Perugia, he will compete for minutes alongside established outside hitters Oleh Plotnytskyi and Kamil Semeniuk while continuing his development at one of Europe’s top clubs.
