The 54-year-old Italian is currently in charge of Bulgaria’s men’s national team and will begin working with Milano following the European Championship, scheduled for begining of September. His staff will include assistants Massimo Caponeri and Nicola Daldello, with Paolo Perrone serving as scoutman.

Born in Turin in 1971, Blengini has built a coaching career spanning more than 25 years. After working alongside Mauro Berruto and Julio Velasco early in his career, he secured his first head-coaching position with Santa Croce in 2009 and won the Italian A2 Cup.

Blengini later joined the Italian men’s national team setup and went on to become head coach. He also enjoyed a successful spell with Cucine Lube Civitanova, where he collected three Italian league championships and one Coppa Italia. He has coached Bulgaria since 2024 and received the country’s best coach award across all sports in 2025.
