In recent reports from some Greek outlets, Italy’s Marco Fenoglio is said to be stepping up as the new head coach for Grupa Azoty Chemik Police, succeeding Radosław Wodziński. This unconfirmed news has been circulating for some days now, with some sources suggesting that Fenoglio signed an agreement with the Polish team more than a week ago.
Previously, the team was under the guidance of Marek Mierzwiński, who was replaced mid-championship by Wodziński. Despite a successful season, marked by winning the Polish Cup and progressing beyond the Champions League group stage, Grupa Azoty Chemik Police suffered a disappointing defeat in the TAURON League. They were ousted in the quarterfinals, losing the series to Grot Budowlani Łódź.
