Turkish media reported that Scandicci opposite hitter Ekaterina Antropova is nearing an agreement to join Eczacibasi for the 2026/27 season, adding another Italian national-team player to the list of athletes moving to the Turkish league.

Antropova, 22, has been a important contributor for Italy over the past three seasons and she played for Scandicci for the last five years. Antropova currently competing with the club in the CEV Champions League as well and will take part in the Club World Championship next week in São Paulo, Brazil.
If confirmed, Antropova would follow Italian national team setter Alessia Orro and outside hitter Myriam Sylla, both of whom have recently transferred to Turkish teams.
Reports also indicate that THY Istanbul has shown interest in Italian outside hitter Elena Pietrini.
