“Dear family, dear friends, dear coaches, teammates and all the fans and supporters! THANK YOU!! Thank you for so many unforgettable moments, for your great support and accompaniment on my journey of about 15 years as a professional volleyball player. When I wasn’t even 16, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time. That’s when my career started in the 1st Bundesliga. When I was 17, I first got a chance to participate in senior national team training. Over the years I have had the opportunity to gain invaluable experiences, meet new countries and cultures and meet a lot of wonderful and inspiring people! You’ve already noticed it one way or another … This journey here ends and a new one begins. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone once again! You have all been or are still my companions. Thanks for everything, dear volleyball! I will miss you!” Lenka Durr stated in her announcement.
