Gavin-Schmitt
A duel of the two teams that have worst campaigns in the 2019/20 2019/20 Dodram V-League regular season was marked by the Canadian international Gavin Schmitt. Suwon KEPCO Vixtorm beat Uijeongbu KB Insurance Insurance Stars by a 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-23) with Schmitt putting down 39 points for the winning side, including 6 kill blocks!
This was the single-game scoring record in the South Korean Men’s Championship this season. The previous one was set by Belgian Bram van den Dries who was unable to give his contribution to the match today due to abdominal pain. It was the second match in a row for which he was sidelined. Schmitt had better scoring output than two top scorers on the other side of the net, combined: Han Kuk-Min (19 points) and Kim Jeong-Ho (13 points).
KB Stars are definitely experiencing hard times knowing that they have recorded the 11th defeat in a row (1-11). As for KEPCO, they ended a three-game losing streak and are at 3-8.
