AZE W: Polina Rahimova to play her last game for national team

1840 0

The Azerbaijani star Polina Rahimova will be playing her last game in a jersey of the national team tomorrow against Poland.

Rahimova had a huge desire to play at the Olympic Games and to finish national career in style but they didn't manage to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

She feels it's a moment to move away and to make a space for the younger players who will succeed her.

Rahimova has been playing for national team more than a decade and it's time for some new players. It will be a emotional game against Poland tomorrow for her (20:00 CET).

IRN M: Iranian federation wants Alekno at helm of men's national team!

'The IRIVF has unofficially set the goal of winning a medal in the next year’s Tokyo Olympics'
It sounds unreal or at least very hard to set as a main target keeping in mind there are teams like Brazil, Poland, USA, Russia or France that are considered better and more entitled than Iran. Just my opinion. Reply

Amateur team manager of Nilufer Team. He brought USA origin player to trainings without COVID testing and without quarantine. That idiot responsible of all those troubles ! Parents of players has to sue him and club ! Reply

POL M: Wilfredo Leon – “It would be dangerous to play in front of the fans…”

Wilfredo Leon - a big respect for such a statement... Very rare, reasonable and sober opinion in this complicated, pandemic situation.. He thinks on older, and vulnarable persons.... I expect that also other top world athletes, coaches, officials will join such a proclamation... But it is not enough without specifying and keeping complex, preventive, epidemiological measures on volleyball courts, halls ... Better not comment what we could still observe on them.. Reply
