The eight-time Portuguese men’s volleyball Championship winners Sport Lisboa e Benfica renewed the contract with one of their key players.

Brazilian veteran Raphael Oliveira “Rapha” reached an agreement to renew the contract with Benfica. Thus, the 36-year-old outside hitter will play his fourth season with the eight-time Portuguese champions, the third in a row.

The ex-Brazil National Team member (won the 2011 Pan American Cup) was the best attacker of the Portuguese league last season (55.9 %).

CHN M: Chinese federation gives in to pressure, male foreigners will play Super League

Great news on the Men's Super League. The Women's you referred to in the news is actually not the same with the Super League though. It is a separate tournament roughly called National Championships where the provincial teams compete for the top honour. Women's Super League won't start until much later. If foreign players are allowed in Men's tournament, then it only.makes sense the same would apply to the women's. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed! Reply
