The 17-time Turkish Women’s Volleyball Championship winners Eczacıbaşı VitrA continued to shape their squad for the 2020/21 season, tying American middle player Chiaka Ogbogu.

Eczacıbaşı confirmed rumors and reached an agreement with the middle player of the U.S. Women, Ogbogu, for the next season.

The 25-year-old player, a member of her country’s national team since 2018, spent the last season in Italy’s Imoco Volley Conegliano with whom she claimed the FIVB Club World Championship, the national cup, and Supercup. As a part of the U.S. Women, Ogbogu won the FIVB Volleyball Nations League twice.

At the same time, the Istanbul team parted ways with the setter Gamze Kılıç.

Yesterday, Eczacıbaşı hired one more American player.

They both created the stereotypical image of a typical Russian coach – a big guy, always unsatisfied and yelling at everyone :) Still they both achieved a lot and it cannot be denied. Reply
