Kazakhstan were two sets down against the rivals to whom they lost a few days ago in the Second Stage of the tournament but made a turnaround by fighting for every ball until their captain Aleksandr Stolnikov scored an ace on the second match ball in the tie-break, 3-2 (20-25, 15-25, 25-17, 25-23, 16-14).
Vitaliy Erdshtein from the winning side scored a match-high 19 points. Moon Sung-Min led Korea with 19 points.
Kazakhstan advanced to their second-ever final in the continental championship (lost to South Korea 3-0 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, in 1993) where they will meet title holders Japan who outclassed hosts Indonesia in straight sets, partially 25-17, 26-25, 25-23.
Yuki Ishikawa scored 20 points for Japan, while Rivan Nurmulki led Indonesia with 21 points.

Kazakhstan and Indonesia have done well in upsetting the other Asian countries. Indonesia was not even given the chance to participate at the 2018 WCH Qualification. Bravo for their effort in this tournament.
No excuse for Australia. They were probably the most disappointing team of the tournament.
