This is something that Brazil fans certainly do not want to hear. One of the main stars of Brazil women’s team Thaisa Menezes suffered a calf injury and had to miss the last team training. Head coach Roberto Guimaraes says that he believes Thaisa will recover until Saturday…

“Thaisa felt a pain in her left calf on Saturday. But it is nothing too serious. She is already much better and I believe that she will start with trainings on Wednesday. Doctors are telling me not to worry. Thaisa should be ready for the start of the Olympic Games.”

Brazil will play against Cameroon on Saturday at the start of the Rio Olympic Tournament.
