All eyes are on two big clashes between the Italian and Polish teams. PGE Skra Belchatow will meet Lube Civitanova, while Resovia will play against Italian champions Modena.

The CEV Champions League winners from the last year’s edition Zenit Kazan are going to play versus Belgian team Knack Roeselare.

This is a bracket for the Playoff 12:

PGE Skra Belchatow – Lube Volley

Belogorie – Zaksa

Knack Roeselare – Zenit Kazan

Arkasspor – Dinamo Moscow

Istanbul BBSK – BR Volleys

Resovia – Modena

Check out the Women’s draw for the CEV Champions League Playoff 6.

We must say that these four teams Resovia, Skra, Modena and Lube didn’t have the best of luck, because the winners of these two Polish-Italian clashes will meet each other in the Playoff 6 round:

Resovia or Modena – Skra or Lube

Arkas or Dinamo – Istanbul BBSK or BR Volleys

Belogorie or Zaksa – Knack Roeselare or Zenit

Also, the drawing of lots for the Final Four has been completed. Perugia will meet Italian or Polish team, as they are going to meet on of these four teams:

The first semifinal at the F4: PERUGIA VS. the winners of: Resovia or Modena – Skra or Lube

The second semifinal: the winners of: Arkas or Dinamo – Istanbul BBSK or BR Volleys VS. Belogorie or Zaksa – Knack Roeselare or Zenit

Honestly considering the ‘BIG’ clashes between the Polish and Italian top-teams, I don’t think Resovia and Belchatow will stand a chance against Modena and Civitanova since they both lost very badly against their respective Italian opponents in the group phase. I think the clash between Berlin and BBSK would be the closest one. Zenit and Moscow should make it through and between Belgorod and ZAKSA I guess would be very similar as the games ZAKSA vs Moscow.

What?? And what are those ‘derbies’? Or is English a difficult language? :))
