“We tried to win this game, but we came across a really strong opponent. We did not do our best. Our serve, our block, and our defense were much worse than on Wednesday. We focused too much on getting points. We should have focused on our technical skills,” says Blengini.
On the other side, Vital Heynen is very happy with the victory:
“It was a very equal start to 20-20. Then we won the first set and played good Volleyball. Only in the third set, we started thinking about winning and got a little bit nervous, but luckily we held on and I think it was an amazing game for us. We go to the semifinals to win…, maybe not by 3-0, but a 3-2 would be OK for us.”

It’s ok for Italy to lose, Blengini got perfect excuse for his failure by saying he dont have zaytsev.
It’s only win-win situation for him. If he won or got a good result, he got reputation saying look i can do this without Juanatora and Zaytsev. Even now he lose, people still can not blame him fully.
So Italy get stuck with this unwise FIFAV and overrated coach.
