Natalia Goncharova (23 points) and Tatyana Kosheleva (18 points) pushed the Russian team to the victory over Turkey 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20).
After two sets, the game was tied as the both teams showed good displays. In the another two sets, we saw a much better performance from Russia, that managed to win these two last sets and to score the second win at the European Championship.
It was the first game of Turkey and they have two more games to fix the things and to advance to the next round. Neriman Ozsoy had a good display in the Turkish team, scoring 29 points.
