The Italian girls have defeated the Kiraly’s side in four sets 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21) to advance to the semifinals. There is one more game left to decide who will take the first place in Pool K, Italy or Serbia.

During the whole match, the U.S. team couldn’t find any solution for Paola Egonu. The 19-year old player had a stunning display, finishing a game with 32 points.

In USA, Andrea Drews had 16 and Laura Gibbemeyer scored 13 points. This result will make Karch Kiraly so mad, especially after losing the fourth set, when his team had a 18-16 lead…
