Blengini’s side had huge advantage after two sets! They were really good while Tillie’s side couldn’t do anything against Zaytsev, Juantorena & co… But…
In the third set, something happened with World League winners. Something positive of course. They started playing much better, with more solutions in attack while in defense they stopped the strongest weapons of Italy – Juantorena and Zaytsev.
After four sets, both sides entered the tie-break. Simply, France were the team who got massive confidence boost and Italy couldn’t face them. They tried, they were close, but France managed to win the game!
Ngapeth was the top scorer with 21, while Rouzier added 17. On the other side, Lanza and Juntorena had 16, while Zaytsev ended match with 15.
