Marianne Steinbrecher ’Mari’, the legendary player of Brazil’s National Team, will most likely stay in Europe until end of the season.

Mari recently parted ways with Italian team Südtirol Bolzano who hired Dominican Gina Mumbrú instead despite the fact of her solid performance so far in Serie A1.

Still, it looks like that the 2008 Olympic gold medalist with Brazil won’t wait too long for a new club.

Zé’Roberto, the head coach of Brazil, stated in TV show „Bem Amigos“ that Mari was close to sign for the French champions RC Cannes. That info was transferred by „Inside Volleycountry“.

‘Solid performance’?? She was simply embarrassing in most of the games she played in Bolzano’s jersey. She’s not good enough for the level of the Italian Championship this year.

Sorry my friend, but Mari is the good player and she have a lot of problems with injuries. The setter of Bolzano’s isn’t good enough to find a better set for any players. If Cannes shows interested for her, it’s possible that they saw good things.

Le Racing Club de Cannes dément l’arrivée de cette joueuse au sein de son effectif!
Nous n’avons jamais été en contact avec cette joueuse.
C’est une fausse news !
