Volleyball club Chieri was playing an away game against Igor Trecate, and eventually lost after a tie-break. But, when players were shaking hands by the net, something horrible happened. A fan of Chieri entered the court, approached to Beatrice Francesconi, player of Chieri, and attacked her! He knocked her down on the floor saying a bunch of insults along the way, according to gazzetta.it.
Some witnesses said that the attacker punched Beatrice because he was not satisfied with her reception!!!???
Gazzetta.it writes that other players helped the poor girl to get up, while the fan left the arena afterward without any problem!
