It seems that in the last hours Cuban receiver Leonel Marshall got permission from his homeland to change sports nationality and perform for LPR Volley Piacenza next season as a domestic player.
Recall that only few days ago he did not get green light on this matter.
Similar situation, although the procedure was very different, was with tow other Cuban players – Yoandry Leal who received Brazilian sports nationality and Wilfredo León who took Polish. Both can even play for the national teams of the countries whose sports nationality they embraced.
