Perugia victoriously finished one of three Serie A1 classics that await them in the next 20 days (Trentino, Modena, Lube) and extended league’s winning streak to 11 games! Italian runners-up dominated from beginning to end of the clash held at, once again, crowded „Palaevangelisti“ gymnasium. Serbian Aleksandar Atanasijević scored 16 points for Perugia.
Azimut Modena silenced packed „PalaValentia“ and achieved thrid win in a row, showing clear signs of getting out of recent crisis marked by several five-set wins – 3-0. Vibo Valentia dod not have a cure for Serbian Nemanja Petrić and Luca Vettori (14 points each).
Lube Civitanova bumped into tough rivals in this round but ultimately took all three points. By beating Kioene Padova 3-1, Gianlorenzo Blengini’s squad maintained leadership in the standings while Padova suffered ninth consecutive defeat. Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov topped Lube scorers with 18 points.
