Trentino vs. Verona
Derby match between Trentino and Verona did not disappoint the volleyball fans. It was another Serie A1 thriller, which was ended with a straight-sets win of Trentino.
How a straight-sets win can be thrilling you ask?
Well, just take a look at the first set. It lasted for almost 45 minutes, while eventually Trentino prevailed over Verona by 35:33. The home team therefore gained a lot of confidence and eventually overpowered their rivals in the following two sets.
Lube and Perugia also wrote down straight-sets wins this Wednesday evening, while Modena barely prevailed over Monza on the road.
