Tifanny Pereira de Abreu, Brazilian volleyball player who underwent sex reassignment surgery (sex change from man to woman), two years ago, made quite a compelling debut in Women’s volleyball, in the jersey of Italian Division 2 (Serie A2) club Golem Software Palmi!

Tifanny (ex-Rodrigo) was registered for Palmi in a record time after coming from Belgian Men’s Division 2 club JTV-Dero Zele Berlare, and already amazed everyone with her debut. Playing as a receiver, she scored 28 points (48% attack) and took MVP award in a 3-1 win of her team against Delta Informatica Trentino, on Sunday, February 19.

The crowd in Palmi gymnasium roared after each point Tifanny scored, while her teammates fully accepted her, according to gazzetta.it.
