At a venue inside the training center of the Italian Federation in Milano, Italy downed one of the 2017 CEV Women’s Volleyball European Championship hosts Azerbaijan 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 26-24), but the joy of the Italian coaching staff was spoiled because of the injury of a starting setter.
Already at the beginning of the first set, Ofelia Malinov was forced to leave the field due to a sprained ankle. Her injury will be more thoroughly evaluated today, as the website of the Italian Federation published, but most likely it is not serious.
