Carlotta-Cambi
A 21-year-old Carlotta Cambi joined preparations of the „Azzurre“ for the 2017 CEV European Championship in Azerbaijan and Georgia instead of Ofelia Malinov who got injured in a friendly match, a few days ago. Her injury did not seem serious at first but further examinations showed that Malinov has suffered a fracture of her right ankle.
The recovery time of Malinov will be long and, since the EuroVolley is about to start in less than two weeks, the coach Mazzanti did not want to take chances and work further with only one setter in the training. So, he summoned a young athlete Cambi who will take the place of her on Italy‘s roster for the Continental Championship.
Recall that Cambi has recently changed the club for the 2017/18 season.
