Only one 2016/2017 V-League game of Round 1 was scheduled for today and, no more no less, it was a rerun of last season’s final.
The outcome was the same. The only difference was that Hisamitsu Springs, reigning champions, now defeated Hitachi Rivale even more convincing than in the final game of the last season 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-17).
Miyu Nagaoka continued where she left off at recent Club World Championship. She scored 20 points for Hisamitsu while Risa Shinnabe added 15. In Hitachi, American Cursty Jackson was the only player with double digits – 12 points.
