Shanghai
Reigning champions Shanghai prevailed over visitors Sichuan in straight sets but each was a big fight 25-23, 25-21, 25-19. For the first time this season, neither German György Grozer nor Argentinian Facundo Conte topped Shanghai. It was a domestic player and also a member of Chinese National Team, Dai Qingyao, with 16 points. On the other side, Cuban Leonardo Leyva was the best scorer but he was far from his usual level. After 45 points in last round, now he collected only 11.
Beijing beat their opponents Shandong in three sets as well but a bit more easier, partially 25-19, 25-17, 25-20. Cuban Oreol Camejo highlighted Beijing with 17 points in front of American Taylor Sander who had 15. Ji Daoshuai noted 14 in Shandong.
Four teams achieved their first win this season – Tianjin led by American Garrett Muagututia (21 pts.), Jiangsu (Zhang Chen and Liu Xiangdong 17 pts. each), Hebei (Yao Baolong 24 pts.) and Zhejiang (Wu Hao and Zhu Zhiyuan 15 pts. each).
