The World champions easily found solution for the rival in the first set. Afterwards, the Canadian national team started playing much better and took over the control of the match. They tied in sets after 25:17 in the second part of the game and Hoag’s side had big lead in the third set 19:15!
Antiga’s side somehow managed to make comeback and to turnaround the score with 10-2 scoring run! Poland got the lead again.
But, Canada simply didn’t want to surrender. In the fourth set we saw another answer of Hoag’s side to tie the score in sets 2:2!
In the tie-break Poland responded very well with a good reception and good passing. They turned into beast mode, especially Bartosz Kurek. After a few minutes on the scoreboard result was 11:3 for the World Champions. Canada had to surrender…
Four players had double digits in Poland: Kurek 21, Mika 18, Kubiak 12, Bieniek 12. On the other side, four players had double digits as well: Gordon Perrin 18, Schmitt 17, Vandoorn 11, Hoag 10.
