RIO 2016 M: Kubiak’s provocation and another big brawl between Poland and Iran (VIDEO)

by WoV

The game itself was simply tremendous. Perhaps the best one so far at the Rio 2016 men's volleyball tournament. However, the ending was not worthy of the Olympic Games...

Poland defeated Iran after a tie-break thriller and after a spectacular rally that came at the very end of this exciting match.

However, instead of remebering this clash by top-class volleyball, we will remember it by another brawl between Polish and Iranian players.

Iran called for a video challenge after the final point, it was unsuccessful. Then, it started… Poland’s captain Michal Kubiak made his trademark roar, while the Iranian players considered it as provocation. Two sides had a verbal arguement at the net, but luckily there was no physical contact.

Trade mark roar? What I saw was an angry face yelling at Iranian players. Wasn’t it really a provocation?????????

Poland’s volleyball team started insulting and yelling at Iranian players and also did it on instagram later

@prince Did it on instagram later? You are crazy or something? After the match big group of furious Iranian suppoters begins to offence polish players on instagram. Lots of this comments were threats. In Kurek fanclub was almost 18 000 comments, in Kubiak 3 000 in other players also about 1 000. It is silly. Of course occure wise people from Iran who apologize Poland for this all comments, but most of them only use vulgarisms.

The Iranians. Learn to lose. I’m tired of your lies and slanders.

@David what do you know about Iranian? let me tell you, nothing. because of the NOT very true news you get anywhere trying to worsen world opinion about Iranian actions.

and such behaviour you saw at the match may be done by any person. If we learn to lose as you said, will you learn not to believe anything you hear or even watch about Iran?

Oh people.. From both sides during ALL THE MATCH was such provocation and much worse. Any ‘scream’ who made Kubiak didn’t excuse Iranian behaviour. Particularly that when Kurek wanted to shake them hands one of them pushed him. They showed that they can’t lose and if they had pretense they are hipocrites.

Bartusz Kurek made an offensive statement against Iran in his instagram

polo August 10, 2016 - 1:32 pm

@e Bartosz Kurek doesn’t have public instagram. And you writed 18 000 vulgarism comments in profile which belong to his fanclub. Hmmm although… 18 000 was 6 hours ago… Now may be 2 times more.

No wonder polish are not liked anywhere… They are not liked in the UK, not in Germany, nowhere. They know it so the best defence is an attack, right? Plus if they use any racial statements perhaps they forgot they once were the greatest victims as of 1939, so how low can they go? Poor manners, poor behaviour of polish players

@bitter truth You saw such situation with polish team when they played with anyone other than Iran? No. Only with them and only when Iran lose. Because they can’t lose. (ow and in the margin.. weak choice because Germany also aren’t liked anywhere.. and to be honest England similarly).

@yee yes, with any team whose players deviate with skin colour, that’s just reflection of poor country manners. i speak their language and know them good enough how they call people who are other than white (such as czapaty and so on…) so I know enough to make such a statement. And on margin, Germans and Brits at least have some recognition worldwide as well as have some sophisticated manners unlike in case of those you are trying to defend… 😉 have a nice day

If you would speak the language you would know that we don’t say ‘czapaty’ but ‘ciapaty’ which is not an offensive word (it only describes a person of a darker skin color). Also yes you are right Germans are recognition the world but mostly for the actions between 1939 amd 1945, and Brists for being stuck up.

Hahaha good one, are you British or are you German? Which would explain your comment. Or maybe you are American which would explain your un(knowledge) of who is liked and unliked.

It’s not fair to use words like ‘Trade mark roar’ or ‘provocation’ to change readers idea about Iranian or Polish people !
Iranian never let anyone disrespect them with or without reason, It doesn’t matter if some people use to be silent when they face such things but we cant be silent !
About social media comment … most of them are fake profiles (you can check them randomly) and almost half of the comments are Iranian’s apologizes for the other half.

Hi guys . we’ve a persian proverb that it says nobody says my yoghurt is sour ; it means that anybody is going to hide its fault and pretend as an inocent . we all know that both teams were guilty, because the reason of holding such festivals and matches(olympics) is to expand peace and humanity but these guys showed something different by their action. i saw some comments stating iranians can not come along with lost . but these kinds of generalizations about a nation is a model of racism , anywhere you can find some bad and good guys and to evaluate that nation you have to refer its history and culture . and finally it is time to apologize instead of those 18000 insulting comments and both teams . but you know i appreciate those18000 guys for patriotism but they did use a harmful way of it

In 1942 about 120’000 polish refugees came to iran . They were weakened by 2years of maltreatment and starvation, suffered from malaria, typhus, fevers, respiratory illnesses and disease caused by starvation. Most of them were children came from orphanage in the Soviet union. they were our guest in tehran and Strahan for years, had an agreeable life and plentiful resources. We Iranians were kind to them. I don’t think Kubiak and kurek and other polish friends know this . We were they host when they need warm hands that others refused . . .

@Erfani You’re right ! Persian people have got a high level of culture and tradision, too. It’s possible, that some of Iranian players have got Polish roots. So tell my why Iranians fans have stareted writing on instagram of polish players: ‘Fu*k Poland and polish people’ or ‘viva Hitler’ ?

You are right too brother. It was a worse reaction to a bad action. It is our 80-million nation’s new problem in iran to repel those several thousand ill persons. And believe me that all medias, personages, VIPs, webs, officers, popular performers, famous actors and actresses, and all of my people beg them to give up. Insolence is an original sin in our religion. Do u know we have a vast campaign in iran to identify and block them all ? Ya we fill shy and apologize for that . . . (But Mr. Antiga the gentleman not only didn’t blame but also defended the inimical emotions of his boys Kubiak and kurek against us . . .)

@Erfani I’m glad, that we understand each other. And it;s also good, that You’re country tries to block this trolls.
Antiga has to defend his boys, I think, You realise that : ). I don’t think Kurek and Kubiak behaviour was good, but Iranians players weren’t indepted, especially fighter Seyed. But reactions like this are normal, it’s written in this sport and this makes volleyball more interesting : )

@Erfani See You in final, Bro : )
