“I like the place. Warsaw reminds me of Toronto, my hometown. It’s now crowded as Toronto, but it’s similar the same weather. It’s not too warm and I like it. I have a nice apartment, there is a shop nearby so I can prepare food for me,” share the first impressions the Canadian wunderkind.
He also took the opportunity to talk about the relationship with the head coach Stephane Antiga.
“The coach saw me during the practice of the national team with other guys and he wanted me to play in the World League. I didn’t think it would work, but I worked hard to make it. We have a very good relationship, which is based on trust. We are going to spend the whole season together in Warszaw and that’s cool stuff,” says Vernon-Evans.
