Ary Graca, President of the FIVB, announced that Russia should take the organization of the 2022 tournament.
“From my point of view, the decision has been made. If Russian Volleyball Federation and Russian Ministry of Sports accept the organization, then the World Championship 2022 will be held in Russia” said Graca.
Stanislav Shevchenko, President of the Russian Volleyball Federation, stated that Russia will apply for the organization of the World Championship 2022.
“The official statement of Russia is that we are ready to host the World Championship. I think the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi and the upcoming FIFA World Championship have created a perfect sports infrastructure, so that we will not have any problems in hosting the best volleyball tournament in 2022.”
