According to the vice-president of Zenit, Ilham Rakhmatullin, French setter Benjamin Toniutti left the club.

“I must be honest; it did not turn out the way we hoped. We wanted him in European Cup but due to the long and complicated procedures for registering he was not able to play the Champions League. What can I say – life goes on.” said Rakhmatullin in interview for the official website of the team.
