Klimkin will lead the national team in the two games against Iran which are crucial for Russia in the battle for survival in the World League Group 1.
Two rounds before the end of the first stage, Russia has 0-10 score and 2 points, while Australia has 1-9 and 3 points.
Klimkin will be only a temporary solution, while Russian Volleyball Federation will name the new national team head coach on July 17.
