Gdansk vs. Zenit
The reigning champions made another major step toward defending the crown. Zenit Kazan grabbed the full package in Poland and made a statement along the way that they are playing some really, really good volleyball.
Lotos Trefl Gdansk had the full house on their side, and we all know how much Polish fans can be loud during volleyball games. But, the hosts could only “steal” one set from the European champions. At this moment, Zenit Kazan are just too much powerful for them…
Wilfredo Leon dominated the match with 22 points, while Zenit Kazan had two more players with double-digits – Matt Anderson with 13 points and Maxim Mikhailov with 12 points. In the home team, Murphy Troy made 14 points.
