“To be honest, I do not watch women’s volleyball, neither live nor on TV. I find it quite boring. I guess it is like a Formula 1 fan watches Formula 3 race. It is a completely different sport…” said Sivozhelez for Sport BO.

I’m sorry but women dominate the sport. Not only are they incredibly beautiful and majestic when play ball, also, women have charisma to make the game so much more interesting. Whatever his name was, he was certainly turned down by a bunch of these female athletes so in bitterness he chooses his hateful words to get back at them. Man vs women, what a ‘heroic’ image for this dude.

i think that womens volleyball its exciting but this days its kinda boring, maybe mens play faster than women. but yeah i kinda agree with him 90%

I suppose this statement of was a joke. What was better for their fans – the bad performances of menś Russian NT last two years, or good womenś performances of RNT, full of beauties?
Obviously there are some differences – women are generally able to play longer rallies, what audience prefer. Some women players, or whole teams are better in a field defense– for example Japanese team, with famous libero Yuko Sano…But there have been also many very skillful spikers – see a former Cuban super star, Mireya Luis and many others.
A lot of men and media like a new trend, where women players focus also on their beauty. Yet sport is a part of entertainment. I do not mind even if there are some artificial interventions, like plastic breast implants etc – hope WADA „experts“ will not ban them… Anyway how would they check – test them?
There is also difference in a beach volleyball, where audience and mainly media often prefer good matches played by pretty women …. So the answer is more complicated …
As a women i totally agree with him and it’s absolutely no sexism. So far it is the best statement ever that is said by volleyballer. Women volleyball is slow motion. As a women I can say I tried to watch but it was also irritating the screaming and attitude how they hit the ball. Wrr.
