By this act, Women’s section of Dinamo Krasnodar joined Men’s team, who also boycotted club management and did not appear in the match against Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Both Men’s and Women’s Dinamo Krasnodar were automatically sanctioned with a forfeit, 0-3 (0-25, 0-25, 0-25).
Dinamo Kazan coach Aleksandr Perepelkin did not like the decision of Dinamo Krasnodar players and staff to boycott today’s match.
„We found out about the boycott at the last moment. We had to change training plan. It was a surprising move for us. I do not categorically support that match does not take place. I do not know how this measure will help. But, I always support what makes the living for my wife (the captain of the Dinamo Krasnodar, Maria Perepelkina),“ Dinamo Kazan coach said.
Women’s Dinamo Krasnodar remained fourth in the standings, three rounds before the end of Regular Season, but now with only two points more than fifth-placed Enisey Krasnoyarsk who was better than Metar Chelyabinsk 3-0. Also, a third-placed Uralochka-NTMK Sverdlovskaya Oblast went five points ahead of Dinamo Krasnodar after beating Zarechie Odintsovo Moskovskaya Oblast 3-0.
Reigning champions Dinamo Moscow extended winning streak to six games after prevailing 3-1 over Proton Saratovskaya Oblast, on the road.
