Adelaide to Host FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2025

For the first time, the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships will take place in the southern hemisphere, heading exclusively to Adelaide, Australia, from November 14 to 23, 2025. This event will feature 10 days of world-class beach volleyball, with over 90 men’s and women’s teams competing.

The championships will be held along Adelaide’s northern riverbank, including Pinky Flat, The Drive, and Torrens Parade Ground. The Drive Centre Court will host key matches, including medal rounds on November 22 and 23.

FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° expressed confidence in Adelaide’s capability to host the event, highlighting Australia’s natural affinity for beach volleyball. Jenny Mann, CEO of Adelaide 2025, emphasized the excitement of welcoming Olympians and top players from around 50 nations.

Supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission, the event promises a festive atmosphere, drawing sports fans and showcasing Adelaide’s springtime charm.
