The 2024 CEV Volleyball European Golden League Women reaches its climax this weekend at the RT Torax Arena in Ostrava, Czechia. Hosts Czechia, Romania, Belgium, and Sweden are set to compete for the title over two days.
Belgium, the only unbeaten team with six wins, will face Sweden in the semi-finals on Saturday, June 15. Sweden, now with star player Isabelle Haak, aims to avenge their earlier defeat to Belgium.
In the other semi-final, Czechia takes on Romania. Czechia, with a strong 5-1 record, previously defeated Romania 3-1. Romania’s top scorers, Rodica Buterez and Ana Cristina Miron, will challenge Czechia’s Gabriela Orvosova in this crucial match.
The bronze medal match and final will be played on Sunday, June 16.
