To celebrate this outstanding result a special recognition was given at the FIVB Congress held last year in Anaheim, California, to Serbia, Brazil and the USA.
Serbia’s junior men and youth boys are ranked second in the world, while the junior women and youth girls are seventh; the men’s and women’s senior national teams are ranked seventh and ninth respectively.
By focusing on four of the six world rankings, Russia and Italy make the top 10 in three categories, followed by Poland, Cuba, Argentina, Germany, Japan, China, Turkey and the Dominican Republic that are all represented twice while Bulgaria, Spain, Iran, France and Peru have got one team each in the top 10.
