WGCC 2017 M: Comeback of Italy to beat France and to stay in the race for medals!

Gianlorenzo Blengini’s side managed to make a comeback against the World League 2017 winners France and to win a game 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21).

After losing the first set, the Italian side didn’t lose hope, playing even at a much higher level to win another three set and to clinch the victory.

This win is very important for Italy as they are staying in the race for the medals, while Laurent Tillie’s side has lost the chances for taking even a bronze medal.

Luca Vettori was the top scorer with 24 points. In France, Jean Patry has finished the game with 21 points.
