Lucarelli
Young Brazilian has already become a regular national team member, while many clubs throughout the world wanted to acquire him after the end of the last season. Eventually, Lucarelli decided to leave his last club Sesi and to accept the offer from Taubate.
“I had two great seasons in Sesi and I am very proud about that time. Taubate formed a great team with Gavin Schmitt and others, so I decided to go there. I have the highest expectations for the next season” started Lucarelli interview for WorldofVolley.
It is no secret that many clubs from Europe offered a contract to Brazilian player, however he stated that it is the best for him to remain in Brazil for at least one more year.
“I was very touched by those offers, and I really want to play in Europe one day. There are many strong leagues there, and perhaps the biggest advantage of European volleyball is the Champions League, which is indeed a very quality competition. But, Brazilian Championship is also very strong, and I simply felt that it was not the right time to leave my country. I might go to Europe next year, or later…”
For the end we asked excellent Lucarelli which country in Europe would he choose as his next destination in volleyball career.
“I do not know really, maybe Italy. I know a lot of players who went there and who liked it there.”
