EYOF W: Injury of Josephine Dörr spoiled German mood

On the opening day of the tournament of volleyball inside the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), German team lead by Jens Tietböhl won Italians in three sets straight (25:15, 25: 19, 25:11). The victory wasn’t even jeopardized with the injury of Josephine Dörr .

Only few hours before the first serve against South Europeans, the coach Jens Tietböhl was informed that Josephine Dorr had a crucial injury of her knee and that she even might need a year break. Despite the news, German showed an outstanding game at the court.

For us it was a brilliant start of the tournament, I hope we will stay on the same course of success.” said Jens Tietböhl.
