Young opposite spoke about national team, his return to Trentino, last season in Cuneo…
“I am glad Trentino brought me back. It is like returning home. I spent three seasons in this club, but didn’t play a lot. But, things are different now” – said Sokolov.
Bulgarian opposite added that Trentino is not the main favorite in Italy:
“Team is young and interesting. I will give the favorite role to Piacenza and Lube which are more experienced then us. But, goal for Trentino is always the same. That is to win everything.”
Sokolov said that he is not afraid of a leader’s role in his old-new team:
“I like to carry more responsibility. That is the best way to progress, and I intend to improve my game in the following season. I had a very important year in Cuneo. There I played whatever coach required me to. I remember that I spent some time as a middle blocker, and won a dinner by the way. It was in a match between Cuneo and Trentino when Matey Kaziyski bet me I couldn’t block him. He still owes me that dinner” – joked Sokolov.
